The Wisdom of Wellbeing
Tonight, I am resting in gratitude after serving as part of an inaugural wellness retreat in Silver Bay, New York.
I am humbled by the collective wisdom of my fellow faculty and the collective wisdom of the many spirited and soulful participants who chose to make this weekend part of their wellness journeys.
I am humbled by the wisdom of nature. The mountains, lake, trees, birds, all the creatures seen and unseen, heard and unheard, teaching us through their very presence.
I am grateful to experience this sense of connection to the earth, to wellbeing, and to the power of sharing intentional experiences within community.
And I feel a sense of belonging through this shared commitment.
As Sebene Selassie expresses in You Belong: A Call for Connection. We all long to belong. And by virtue of our shared humanity, we do. We are all unique, yet not separate. We belong.
Here’s to your experiencing the wisdom in wellbeing and community this week and beyond!
